From Exoskeletons to Humanoids: Unlocking the Next Frontier in AI-Powered Robotics

Dr. Arzanpour is a leading expert in dynamic systems modeling, signal processing, modern control, and intelligent systems. His research spans vibration control, haptic systems, biomedical devices, smart materials, and the application of machine learning in system identification and control.

In 2016, he co-founded Human in Motion Robotics Inc., a company dedicated to developing advanced robotic exoskeletons that restore mobility and independence to individuals with motion impairments. Under his technical leadership, the company designed XoMotion, one of the world’s most advanced lower-limb exoskeletons capable of enabling natural walking for people with severe mobility disabilities.

Dr. Arzanpour is also the recipient of the Innovation to Commercialization Award from the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research, recognizing his dedication to translational research that improves lives.
